Mercy Aquino has been a wedding and event professional for over 10 years. She has been passionately immersed in the world of weddings since 2008, when she began her career as a wedding coordinator at a renowned hotel in Punta Cana.

Mercy has been working as a Wedding Manager for AMResorts for almost 6 years, with prior experience as a Wedding Planner/Coordinator at other hotels such as Excellence Punta Cana, Dreams Palm Beach and Paradisus Palma Real. During that period at Secrets Royal Beach and Now Larimar Punta Cana, She implemented different tools and procedures, helping to improve the operation of the Wedding Department, and as a result, together with her team, she obtained a great increase in both the number of weddings celebrated per year ( more than 600 weddings celebrated in a year).

On the other hand, she has also served as Group Sales Manager for AMResorts for almost two years, seeing hotel service and negotiation from another perspective, and handling other tasks related to the Corporate and Social groups. During her career, she has had contact with different event vendors in Bávaro-Punta Cana, which has helped her increase her negotiation capacity, and the ability to choose the best providers according to the client’s needs and budget.

In November 2019, Mercy founded the Marcee Group, officially opening its wedding and social events division, MARCEE EVENT PLANNERS, in 2021.
